Blood Drive report by
Pat Eliseo: August 28
Blood Drive held on August 23 was a record breaker
and very successful. 105 people showed, 97 pints of blood donated.
They also had 28 people who donated additional blood for testing
to enter the bone marrow bank and 6 people who donated red blood
cells. Pat also thanked all the volunteers who made sandwiches
and telephone calls – their contribution added greatly
to the success of the Blood Drive.
School Supplies: August
28
Kathy Gibson reported on the shopping spree she
and Sally Bandow completed this week for school supplies with
the money donated by the Club. They packed knapsacks chock full
of supplies for each of the schools and had $4 left over – Thank
you Kathy and Sally for the work you did on such a nice project
for the students.
Water Project: August
28 PT2
Ed Minicozzi and Kathy Gibson shared their
experience last week in the Dominican Republic for the “turning
over of the Keys” to the water tank. Ed and Kathy accompanied
Bill Jacobs and Bob Stanton for this very special event. Bill
spearheaded the project and was extremely “hands-on” involved
in overseeing the success of the project. We will hear more on
this from Bill when he is feeling better – Feel better
soon Bill!
