Dominican Republic Water Project

The Locust Valley Rotary Club, in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Southampton, NY (District 7260) has embarked on a project to provide potable, running water to two communities in the Dominican Republic.

In coordination with the San Jose de Ocoa Rotary Club (District 4060) the project was completed at the end of June, 2004. Over two hundred inhabitants of the villages of Rincon del Pino and La Sabana now have safe, clean water available due to the efforts of Rotary.

An official dedication will take place in late 2004 or early 2005 and a number of Rotarians from both districts are planning to attend.
